Group Background
The foundation of Baghpatee Group was formed during the mid 40’s by the group founder Mr. S.M. Shafi Baghpatee in India. He was not just an entrepreneur but also a patriot and served as a proud member of the elite team of Pakistan Movement. He also served as a zonal secretary of All India Muslim League in Delhi.
After the partition, he migrated to Lahore and restarted all business activities with a new vision and commitment. With two associated companies, M/s. B. Brothers dealt in imports and general trading of resins, paints, and chemicals.
By the year 1970, Baghpatee Group was serving customers not only in East Pakistan but also in major cities of West Pakistan. Later, considering the country’s situation, Mr. S.M. Shafi Baghpatee shifted the head office to Karachi and formed another company, M/s. Haji Mohammed Shafi and Sons.
In 1978, the group entered the petroleum business and formed M/s. Baghpatee Petroleum by joining hands with Shell Pakistan, formerly Pakistan Burmah Shell. Since then, the growth and prosperity of the group continues. By the grace of Almighty Allah, under the umbrella of Baghpatee Petroleum, the group serves its clients through six retail outlets in different areas of Karachi.
